#HBIBReviews: The Frenchy

For someone working in Birmingham city centre I love it when there is a new halal place which opens and adds a bit of variety to the typical lunch places. After almost walking into German Donner I thought I would try something new which was recommended by a friend.

The Frenchy reminds me of Slams (possibly due to the awesome Algerian sauce). Based a few doors away from Big Johns in City Centre it is within walking distance for alot of people working in the City Centre.

Food: I opted for a Tandoori bread meal which was marinated chicken in a tandoori, Desi type flavour in a long piece of bread with an optional sauce included of your choice. I have to say I was impressed with the bread, was filled quite heavily and had a warm fresh taste to it. The chicken itself was a bit bland I thought and failed to have any kick at all. The fries were well cooked and the overall meal I have to say went down well. The Algerian sauce option is a must here! Make sure you guys have a try if you ever go down. 6.5/10

Service and Atmosphere: Very friendly brothers work, here who are keen to explain the business and their recommendations if you are unsure of what to have. Very clean environment with plenty of seating for approx 25-30 people. There is further seating downstairs I am led to believe with specific family rooms available upon request. 8/10

Overall: 7/10 A really good lunch option who do Sandwiches as well as pizzas which I am yet to try. I will be back and think this is a good addition in the sandwich game for Birmingham after YumYm Baguette mysteriously disappeared. Make sure you ask for their Algerian sauce
